Every boat on the course. Every crew back ashore.
Live tracking, rankings and safety for your race. Skippers use the free VesselSOS app — nothing to hand out, nothing to charge.
Race day, fixed.
One race, two screens.
What the skipper sees, and what you see. Same second.
Set up in ten minutes.
Have an entry list? Import a CSV (a Manage2Sail export works) and every skipper gets a personal link with their boat already picked.
Race tracking and results for the race office.
Racing lives in the app they already carry.
VesselSOS is free. Home stays the same — the race opens from Profile → Races, or straight from your link.

Whatever you race.
Questions clubs ask.
Do competitors need a new app?
No. Race mode lives inside the free VesselSOS app, under Profile → Races. Home stays the same. Race mode arrives in an app update for the 2027 pilot season — VesselSOS is on iPhone today, Android later.
How do skippers join?
With a 6-digit race code you say at the briefing or on VHF, a QR on the noticeboard, or a link by SMS or email. Name, phone and ashore contact come from their profile — they only add how many people are on board.
Does GPS decide early starts or missed marks?
No. Phone GPS is about ±3–5 m. VesselSOS flags “possibly early, 6 m” or a mark not seen in the zone, and your race officer confirms or clears it with one tap.
What happens when someone sends SOS?
SOS works exactly as in the app today: the SOS screen guides the skipper to call the right rescue centre for those waters, with the position ready to read out. In a race it also alerts the race office the same second, and the race office can ask the 3 nearest boats to help (RRS 1.1). Time spent assisting is logged for redress (RRS 61.4(b)(4)). VesselSOS does not call or alert the rescue centre for anyone.
Line honours or handicap?
Both, behind one toggle. Corrected positions are projected while boats race (ORC/IRC time-on-time with TCF). SUP and paddle races use line honours; checkpoint races are coming soon.
Who sees the skippers’ phone numbers?
Only the race office, for safety. The public live page shows boats, positions and results — never phone numbers or contacts. Contact details are deleted 30 days after the race.
What does it cost?
It is free for competitors, always. We are onboarding a small group of clubs as pilots for the 2027 season and agree the terms with each club — no prices yet.
Can we export results?
Yes. Provisional results the moment boats finish, line and corrected, exported as CSV or a Sailwave file. The race officer can correct any finish by hand.
Can we try the start clock before the pilot?
Yes. Our free start sequence timer runs 5-4-1-0 or 3-2-1-0 with the flags (RRS 26), a horn, postponement, recalls and a big-screen mode — in any browser, no account. Open the start sequence timer →
