The organiser creates the race and shares a 6-digit code. The skipper enters it in the VesselSOS app they already have, under Profile — no new app, and home stays the same. Safety works as always; the race comes on top. Everything below is simulated demo data.
Demo only: the boats, times and phone numbers are made up. The race mode for skippers comes in a VesselSOS app update; VesselSOS Racing is in pilot with clubs for the 2027 season. SOS works exactly as in the app today: its SOS screen guides the skipper to call the right rescue centre — VesselSOS does not alert the rescue centre itself. In a race the SOS also alerts the race office.
